General Functions-

-Responsible for performing on-site repair of computers and basic hardware and software installations.
-Provides technical support in activities associated with the identification, prioritization and resolution of reported problems.
-Prepares progress reports for work performed.
-Performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment.
-Troubleshoots general problems under direction of a higher level of support. This includes service that exceeds response time, repair time, lack of parts, or any other issue that could impact customer satisfaction.
-May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system.
-Investigates system problems and provides solutions using specific product knowledge, system utilities, and operating environment.
-Processes timely and accurate information to ensure compliance with warranty requirements of vendors.
- May install, test, and repair computer systems on customer site.
-Follows established process and procedures to plan, install, test, and implement computer system hardware or software technologies.


Requirements-

A+ certification

Requires 2-5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent/ combination of education and experience. (AA degree or technical training.)
