| Sr. Systems Analyst, Project Management/Architect Technology TO CLARIFY: THIS IS A HANDS-ON CODING POSITION USING HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CSS AND SOME JAVA. DO NOT SEND PROJECT MANAGERS, BUSINESS ANALYSTS AND OTHER MIDDLE MANAGER BUSINESS TYPES WHO HAVE SOME PERIPHERAL ROLE IN THINGS GETTING BUILT. NO SOFTWARE ENGINEERS WHO WANT TO DO J2EE. WE NEED IT DEPARTMENT PROGRAMMERS WHO KNOW WEB TECHNOLOGY AND CAN USE THEIR BUSINESS DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE TO HELP US CREATE INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC PLATFORMS. The Senior Systems Analyst/Architect is a key member of Pegasystem's Solutions Framework group, which serves as a critical bridge between Product Engineering and Professional Services. Engineering designs the core engine of our award-winning SmartBPM(r) software suite and Professional Services is responsible for the custom implementation for each client. The Solutions Framework group defines, architects and delivers granularly focused industry-specific platforms for each of our vertical areas of focus, so you will leverage your experience spanning business analysis, industry subject matter expertise, application design and systems deployment. The Senior Systems Architect will complete a 4-week PRPC product training/certification where they will learn in-depth Pega product knowledge so you can advise customers and provide consulting on how to best utilize and implement a Pega SmartBPM(r) solution. In this role you will help define, document, design and deploy industry-specific transactions and workflows to help shape a horizontal SmartBPM(r) platform into a robust, vertically oriented solution to help clients deploy a 100% custom implementation in a fraction of normal time-to-market cycles. In this role you will bring strong subject matter expertise in Project Management/Testing Tools. This role will be focusing on creating platforms that handle the workflow and organization surrounding enterprise project management. The ideal fit would be someone who came from a firm who built a product that competed with MS Project, whether it was a 3rd party application or an in-house version a company built for its own use. The Sr. Systems Analyst/Architect will lead development of a vertical (industry) framework of best practices for deployment our award-winning SmartBPM(r) software suite and integrate it within the customer's enterprise web architecture. This will require an understanding of object oriented principles, web application architecture and enterprise application deployment/integration. It is important to note that the Pega SmartBPM(r) itself is built along a J2EE/SOA paradigm, but the Senior Systems Analyst/Architect will be working in the Pega development environment and not writing Java code and implementing J2EE-based applications. In this role you will develop expert skills in Leadership, Consulting, Web Architecture, SOA and SOAP. Our company culture emphasizes personal development and we have clearly defined levels of progression. Through mentoring and active management we motivate and support you to advance through these levels at your own pace as opposed to be being locked into just annual performance reviews, allowing top performers to control their own destiny for promotions. This is an ideal role for someone who comes from a Systems Analyst heritage within a large IT or consulting organization. You can leverage deep industry subject matter expertise to gain entry into an enterprise commercial software firm, without having to meet the coding/language requirements typically expected of a pure product engineer. Must have Requirements: 5+ years' domain knowledge of Project Management/Testing Tools 5+ years related experience doing analysis, requirements definition and implementation of custom features in an enterprise application environment (Java, C++ or .NET) 2+ Years experience with Web Architecture Strong hands-on ability with Javascript, HTML, CSS Strong understanding of RDBMS and SQL queries 2+ year Experience consulting or interacting with customers 1+ year experience in a Leadership role Preferred Requirements: Experience with BPM products a plus Experience with Pega or PRPC a plus BS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred |
