| Global Supplier Quality Engineer
My client is seeking a qualified, energetic individual to refine and enhance a Vendor Quality Assurance program in their new, state of the art facility. Your primary focus will be the global external Supply Chain. Although this position reports to the Purchasing Manager you will have significant interaction with the QA department. On a day to day basis you will be selecting vendors, evaluating vendor capabilities, doing performance evaluations, recommending and installing vendor quality programs, statistical measurements and reporting, value analysis and use of root cause and preventative measures techniques. You will be a significant team member with interface to all cross functional groups such as the MRB, QA & Purchasing, Vendor Certification team, and the Kaizen and Continuous Improvement teams. No two days will be the same in this challenging role! To qualify you will need a BSME, solid QA and Procurement experience, up to date certifications are desired such as ASQ, ANSI, and a working knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Cpk, SPC and Quality Management Systems.
