| Position Description: Responsible for providing outpatient clinical services in a an office based setting and, when needed, community settings. The clinical caseload will consist of children, adolescents, adults, and families (family therapy). The outpatient clinician will be responsible for providing diagnostic assessments and clinical counseling services for clients. The outpatient clinician will be responsible for collaborating on cases with case managers and other service providers to ensure appropriate delivery of services to clients and families. Responsible for meeting productivity standard of twenty-28 (28) kept appointments per week, forty hour work week (40). Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed and participates in the Agencyâ,TMs on-call emergency services provision on a rotating schedule.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities: â,¢ Participates in clients and families initial assessments. â,¢ Provides brief treatment using a variety of treatment modalities, e.g. individual, couple, family, group, etc. â,¢ Evaluates treatment process on an ongoing basis. â,¢ Collaborates with case managers and other service providers to ensure clients/families needs are being met. â,¢ Provides emergency crisis intervention services with, and on behalf of, clients and families as needed. â,¢ Builds and maintains positive working relationships with community organizations and service providers. â,¢ Schedules appointments with clients and families based on clientsâ,TM needs. â,¢ Maintains confidentiality of clients and families. â,¢ Provides sensitivity to clients and families cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues and diversity. â,¢ Serves as a positive role model to clients and colleagues. â,¢ Maintains or exceeds productivity expectations. Outpatient clinician is expected to see twenty-eight (28) clients per week during a forty (40) hour work week. â,¢ Completes all professional and administrative documentation and forms in accordance with agency standards and within established guidelines and time-frames. â,¢ Prepares for and participates in Utilization Management process as scheduled. â,¢ Participates in administrative supervision as needed. â,¢ Other duties as assigned by supervisor. â,¢ Attend monthly Outpatient staff meeting. Qualifications: Masterâ,TMs Degree and valid Rhode Island license required (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, Psy.D., etc.) plus 3 years experience post independent licensure. Experience in the field of child/family service is required for all clinicians working in the outpatient program. Must pass DCYF and criminal record clearance. Possession of a valid driverâ,TMs license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance required. Physical Requirements: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to: â,¢ Ability to sit for extended periods of time. â,¢ Ability to communicate effectively. â,¢ Travel to and from clientsâ,TM residence, community locations and office sites, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators. â,¢ Ability to lift 20 lbs.
