| ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Director of PQI will primarily be responsible for supporting the activities performed by the Vice President of Quality Management. Main responsibilities will fall primarily under the areas of policy development and implementation, on-going maintenance of accreditation standards and providing leadership in developing and facilitating on-going PQI initiatives across agency programs.
SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develops policies and procedures in response to accreditation standards, risk management concerns and best practice initiatives. • Educates and assists staff (leadership and direct service) in the development of PQI plans relevant to their job responsibilities. • Develops, modifies, implements and reports out on organizational metrics (outputs and outcomes) that inform PQI initiatives. • Develops, modifies and implements the agencyTMs quality improvement plan in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards (COA). • Educates and trains staff as to the quality improvement plan, and their respective roles in carrying out the quality improvement plan. • Serves as a proxy for the Vice President of Quality Management in areas of departmental oversight, staff supervision and representation at external events. • Assists in developing and operationalizing strategic planning endeavors for the organization. • Coordinates with Leadership in implementing best practice initiatives regarding the collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of data to agency stakeholders. • Performs additional responsibilities consistent with Agency needs, defined in consultation with the CEO. QUALIFICATIONS: Education such as may have been gained through graduation from a college or university with a Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Administration or other relevant social science area. Prior experience in developing and promulgating policies and procedures. Familiarity with the interpretation and implementation of accreditation (preferably COA) and licensing standards (state, federal, etc.). Experience in program design, evaluation and data analysis strongly sought. Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments and oversee multiple projects concurrently. Candidates must also possess strong critical thinking and writing skills, be detail oriented and be proficient in the use of MS Office. Experience with statistical packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS) strongly desired. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to: • Travel to and from clientsTM residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators. • Ability to lift up to 20lbs. • Ability to communicate effectively.
