| ArthurSloan.com - Southeast Controller - Manufacturing Operations - Multi-locations, CPA Responsibilities: Controller - Manufacturing Operations is responsible for: * Financial reporting, internal controls, accounting activities and policy adherence for the assigned geographic's plant operations. * Supervising and coaching other finance team members with the objective of accurate, timely and proper financial reporting and controls. * Financial activity within their area to support the enterprise system. * Promote diversified recruiting, hiring, training and managing of financial personnel in an assigned area. * Establish working relationship and consistent communication with the Operations Manager and the Sales Manager for the geographic area. * Promote functional alignment within the area and or region. * Oversees such areas as general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, payroll, inventory valuation, accounts payable, accounts receivable and production reporting. * Implements and administers established accounting policies, procedures and best practices. * Ensures accurate and timely reporting of operating results. * Provides financial analysis, interpretation of variances from budgets & forecasts and advises management. * Manages, trains and delegates responsibilities to the accounting staff. * Trains other functional area personnel on key financial metrics and company policy issues. * Works with both internal and external auditors and is rated by these groups on the area teams measured performance. * Works with other functional areas in executing credit, accounts receivable and inventory controls and measured performance. * Build relationships with both internal and external customers. * Analyze problems / issues as identified and participate in providing solutions. * Become knowledgeable in various financial and operating systems in order to provide support and direction as the business requires. * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Bachelors degree required. * CPA preferred. * Ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience; 5+ years experience in a multi-location environment. * Knowledge of software products including Microsoft and SAP preferred.
