| Sales Assistant
The purpose of this position is to assist the sales personnel by servicing existing and potential accounts, serving as a liaison between customers and foundries/suppliers, and initiating and following through on reports/projects as needed. Principle Responsibilities to include (but not limited to): • Prepare and manage quote packages for potential new business based upon conditions previously agreed to. • Implement the order process from inception (e.g. setting up cost and actual order) to completion (e.g. final payment). • Control inventory at warehouse locations, including procuring and tracking material, shipping to customers, reporting to management, etc. • Coordinate shipments between foundry/supplier and customer and organize logs that contain precise shipment information including, but not necessarily limited to, price, quantity, freight, and delivery schedule, and monitor/track this information. • Maintain constant communication between all parties involved by telephone, e-mail, letters, meetings, etc. Communicate any issues/problems to appropriate people, and keep salesperson informed. • Compile and update records on customers' sales activities. • Expedite payment to and from customers as well as foundries/suppliers. This includes accounts receivables, past due amounts, and accounts payable. • Supply customers with needed or requested information. • Compile information and prepare reports/materials for presentations by salesperson, as needed. • Log, process, file, etc., documents as required. Minimum Qualifications • Education: Minimum of two years of college resulting in an Associate's degree and/or equivalent degree. • Experience: Between two and three years of prior administrative experience, preferably in a sales related environment. Other: • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred. Increasing technical and computer skills to manage an increasingly complex sales process and track suppliers and products. • Good communication skills required. • Ability to deal effectively with customers and promote customer satisfaction. |
