| My client, a very dynamic $7 billion international corporation located south of St. Paul, MN, has need for a strong Project Manager. The particular business unit in which you'd be a part ensures the operational efficiency and effectiveness of critical business systems, establishes technology infrastructure standards, and provides systems support and enhancements for their business systems. In this fast-paced role you'll be responsible for providing infrastructure project management services on multiple concurrent technology development projects, and providing on-going service level management upon implementation of projects. Along with assembling and assessing an effective team and other traditional project management responsibilities, you'll also represent all aspects of this division's deliverables and service level offerings to a larger corporate project team, and have influence over technical services teams to help determine priorities, resources, and meet scheduled commitments. You'll also participate in budgeting exercises with customers during the latest estimate and plan process to ensure capital and expenses are reflected correctly, and coordinate capital expenditures and financials for purchases within complex projects. You'll assist in creating models to determine overall costs of the technology services provided.
Requirements for this position include seven or more years of relevant experience, including three years of PM experience, and working knowledge of hardware/software infrastructure technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in Windows and Unix Platforms, Oracle, DB2 Databases, Sun, IBM vendors. You must have an undergraduate degree in a related field, solid communication and organizational skills, and strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution. The ideal candidate will also have strong project planning and management skills with working knowledge of project management methodology, including experience with business cases and project costs. PMP certification and an advanced degree are a plus. |
