| The Supervisor Quality Inspection is responsible for assuring compliance to AmerenEnergy Generation quality program and initiating corrective actions necessary to maintain compliance.
Key responsibilities include: - Maintain day-to-day oversight of Ameren and contractor's welding and NDE activities to ensure compliance with specification, drawings, job instructions and Ameren's workmanship standards. - Perform visual inspections on welds made by Ameren and outside contractor's personnel. - Obtain and review contract welder and procedure qualification records. Verify that welders and welding procedures used by Ameren and outside contractor meet all Code requirements. - Assist plant engineers, maintenance personnel and construction supervisors in interpreting the requirements of AmerenEnergy Generation Quality Control Program and provide guidance for alternate solutions. - Perform quality assurance audits at each plant to insure compliance with AmerenEnergy Generation Quality Control Program. - Perform in-shop inspection at vendor's work locations to ensure AmerenEnergy Generation welding standards are followed. - Maintain liaison with the Authorized Inspector, outside contractors and construction supervisors. - Share knowledge and experience with other in your work region through update training. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience: Three or more years experience as a certified welder required. Will consider those without the certified welding experience provided they can demonstrate a working knowledge of various welding processes and have three or more years relevant experience as an inspector with documented certification. Certified Welding Inspector certification and/or ASNT NDE Level I or II certification in ET, MT, PT, RT and/or UT preferred. Two or more years' supervisory or team leadership experience also preferred. Other: Strong working knowledge of the SMAW and GTAW welding processes required. Must have excellent communication, and human relations skills. |
