| Job Responsibilities: You will be responsible to create and implement innovative sourcing solutions to achieve cost savings and cash management objectives. Will be accountable for managing approximately $200M of metal and mechanical direct material commodity spend working with 6 strategic business units across 30 global manufacturing sites. You will manage the supplier base to achieve the lowest possible total costs, highest possible quality while maintaining overall delivery performance through excellent supplier partnerships. Work to improve cash management with extended terms, consignment and vendor managed inventory programs. Negotiate supplier contracts and become the supplier expert in your commodity. Forecast future market trends and identify/develop world-class suppliers. Implement cost saving projects and project management across all manufacturing sites. Job Requirements: Bachelorâ€TMs degree from an accredited 4-year college or university; Engineering degree is preferred. Min. 5 to 7 years experience as a purchasing professional with a strong metals and mechanical background. CPM certification preferred. Project management experience required. Must be a self-starter, accountable, innovative and have the ability to travel approx. 25%. Supplier negotiation and contract management experience Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills Job Preferences: Asia / Emerging market sourcing experience Training/proficiency in Six Sigma Asian language proficiency Masters degree in business or supply chain We offer a competitive salary package in addition to a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) with company match. |
