| This position will assist in garden bean research and development programs at the Nampa Research Station.
-Perform greenhouse breeding support duties including planting and growing transplants, pollination, seed harvest, seed cleaning, staking, labeling and data recording. -Perform fieldwork including: layout and marking, seeding and transplanting, staking, seed harvest and cleaning, and labeling. -Coordinate, fill and ship hybrid trials to outside locations. -Manage/maintain accurate inventories. -Involvement in all activities of nursery. -Conduct disease increase and maintenance. -Communicate with offsite project leaders to define and schedule tasks required for their programs. -Supervise seasonal employees. -Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: -HS diploma or eqivalent required; AA or BS in agricultural field preferred. -Minimum 4 years comparable experience. -Keyboarding and computer knowledge with MS Office -Good organizational skills -Legible handwriting -Valid driver's license -Bilingual in English & Spanish beneficial Syngenta offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
