Position Summary:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in human resources management or similar field, and a minimum of 6 years Human Resources experience in progressively responsible positions, must possess at least 4 years experience in benefits administration, and preferably 2+ years experience as a Human Resources Generalist, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of government regulations related to compensation and benefits, including Section 125 cafeteria plans (flexible spending accounts), pension programs, and wage-and-hour laws and regulations, including plan maintenance, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements. The HR Generalist /Compensation and Benefits should have the ability to communicate and work with all levels of employees and the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information

Generalist and Compensation:
- Design, develop and implement compensation programs including the analysis, policy and administration of basic compensation for exempt and non-exempt populations.
- Conduct job analyses to determine appropriate exemption status and salary levels.
- Manage and oversee deferred compensation plan
- Analyze company compensation policies in relation to government wage and hour regulations, prevailing rates for similar jobs in comparable industries or geographic areas, and recommend changes as appropriate to establish and maintain competitive rates.
- Manage staff participation in compensation surveys within industry and apply research on geographical differences to firm-wide compensation structure.
- Manage and oversee the compensation and bonus programs applicable to senior management and other staff;
- Manage annual performance management and merit process.
- Prepare and present compensation recommendations to the Executive Compensation Committee (members of AICPA Board).

Benefits :
- Manage design, implementation, administration and analysis of employee benefits programs including health and welfare plans, 401k plan, and defined benefit pension plan.

Generalist Subsection:
- Assists in all aspects of human resources, including compliance, reporting and employee relations.
- Consults, advises, and makes recommendations to managers concerning matters of employee-related situations that arise, performance problems, discipline, and termination.
- Provides direction and guidance to managers regarding federal and state employment laws and ensures that confidentiality is maintained.
- Processes workers compensation, OSHA, unemployment, FMLA and disability paperwork.
- Performs duties in compensation, benefits, training, immigration and other related tasks as follows:
- Conducts training classes or workshops as necessary
- Conducts exit interviews, closing of benefit programs, and retains employment records as prescribed by law.
- Serves as the contact for immigration issues and processes necessary paperwork.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor degree and a minimum of seven years HR experience with a strong focus on salary administration and benefits, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop positive and productive working relationships with management and employees in multiple locations
- Must possess the ability to build consultative relationships and interface with all levels of staff with tact and diplomacy.
- Self-motivation with a strong sense of personal accountability
- Detail orientation with a passion for process
- A thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures, and knowledge of Federal and State regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, and EEO laws and regulations required.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Technical skill and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
