| Candidate MUST HAVE Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the truck and/or rubber tire vehicle manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong Project Management skills; have a full understanding of legal and product liability issues for road legal trucks. Experience in Truck Drivetrain Analysis. The candidate should understand and have the capability of integrating components into truck chassis and cabins where the product systems include hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems and structures. Knowledge required: Bill of Material Structures, CAD System AUTOCAD 2-D, INVENTOR 3-D Modeling Systems (experience with CATIA or PRO-E is acceptable) and PC Software Applications. Welding Structural Analysis skills is desirable. BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities: Plans and designs major components and truck configuration. Establish engineering priorities and schedule. Interface with manufacturing to implement engineering designs. Have basic understanding of manufacturing techniques and machine capabilities. Assist manufacturing in assembly techniques and problem solving. Have full understanding of design impacts on truck marketability including, cost, quality (real or perceived), serviceability, parts availability, durability, and fitness for use. Assist in customer contracts and translations into engineering requirements for on and off highway mobile equipment. |
