| General Summary: Responsible for providing direct supervision to Counselors and other clinical staff delivering developmentally appropriate client treatment. Oversees client services and ensures compliance with established program standards and service delivery objectives. Audits client records. Assists in interviewing, selecting, evaluating, scheduling and disciplining assigned staff. Responsible for orienting and training staff. Serves as resource to assigned staff in identifying and resolving complex case problems. Interprets and enforces area policies and procedures, and initiates corrective actions. Assumes client caseload in response to work load or staffing shortages.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling or a related field preferred. Current licensure or eligible as a LCSW or LCPC preferred OR current certification as a substance abuse counselor in state of hire. At least three (3) years clinical experience in substance abuse treatment. At least six (6) months counseling experience with adolescent clients. At least six (6) months clinical experience in a residential treatment setting. Twelve (12) hours of documented supervisory training, or equivalent supervisory experience The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
